Feature 01 · Business Class Chauffeur
The included chauffeur is surfaced on the trip card the traveller already uses. A guided, flight-aware set-up captures the essentials with no payment, then the travel day becomes reassurance: a human driver hand-off, a live map, and a rating only after the trip is done.
Diamonds are decision or system points; amber boxes are the edge cases the design handles gracefully. This reflects the current prototype, including custom pickup time, the in-place vehicle upgrade, and rating-after-arrival.
The included chauffeur sits on the same upcoming-trip card the traveller already uses, with the real flight (EY 0102 · AUH → LHR · Fri 12 Jun). Online check-in is visibly disabled until it opens, then reads “Done”, so there is never a dead tap.
What the Business-Class chauffeur covers — both ways, meet & greet, complimentary — so the value is clear before set-up.
Saved places (Home / Current / Office) plus real inline editors: type or pick a suggested address, and add a driver note (140 characters). Both validate in place — no pretend “saved” toasts.
A flight-aware recommended time (“4h before”), quick slots, and a 24-hour custom time so there is no AM/PM mix-up. Every time is checked against the flight and the drive to the airport.
Continues with reassurance — “we’re watching your flight.”
Tight: an amber warning that still lets you continue. Too late: a red message and “Choose an earlier time” — the one case we block, because it cannot work.
Pickup time plus the drive is compared with check-in, which closes 60 minutes before departure. Less than 2 hours of buffer → caution, with the exact minutes of margin shown. Arriving after check-in closes → blocked.
Guests & bags steppers, optional special requests, and an editable, validated contact number for driver coordination.
BMW 7 Series shown on the vehicle card.
Auto-upgrade to BMW X7 — the vehicle card updates in place (seats 7, 6 bags) to match the notice.
One summary of where, when, who, which vehicle and any driver note. A tight time is flagged once more, with a one-tap “Change time”. No payment.
Reserves the chauffeur and links it to the flight. No charge — it’s in the fare.
Reference, the date and time (“Fri 12 Jun · 14:20”, never just “Today”), and reassurance that a driver is assigned about 2 hours before pickup.
Booking details and the line “driver assigned about 2 hours before pickup”. Live tracking is shown but clearly locked (“Tracking opens on travel day”), so it never looks broken.
From the trip screen the traveller can change or cancel — free until 1 hour before pickup.
Opens the time screen in its own mode (“Reschedule pickup”, no step dots). “Save new time” goes straight back to the trip with a confirmation.
A dialog states the policy and shows the booking. “Keep my booking” has focus and Esc also keeps it. Only “Cancel chauffeur” cancels.
On travel day the driver’s name, photo, vehicle and plate appear, and “Track chauffeur live” unlocks. (In the prototype, “Jump to travel day” shows this moment.)
An Uber-style map with a countdown from the driver to the traveller. Pins read “Driver” and “You”; the status bar stays legible over the map.
After the driver arrives, the trip begins. Arrival at the airport is auto-detected — no manual tap.
Only once the trip completes does the app ask “How was your ride?” — feedback at the right moment.
The chauffeur is time-bound and tied to a flight, so the flow is built to absorb change without making the traveller re-do work.
“We’re watching your flight.” If departure shifts, the pickup auto-adjusts and the driver is briefed — no rebooking.
Selecting a late preset or a custom time inside the buffer triggers a non-blocking caution with a safer suggestion.
More than 3 guests or bags auto-upgrades to a BMW X7, still included — and the vehicle card reflects it immediately.
The online-check-in tile is shown but disabled (muted, “Soon”), so the traveller isn’t led into an unavailable action.
A pickup that reaches the airport after check-in closes is blocked, with a plain explanation and a button that says what to do.
Drop-off in London, a London driver and plate, and a suggested pickup 30 minutes after landing. A time before landing is blocked.
A Business booking made in AI search opens this flow with the real flight, date and times. An early-morning flight moves pickup to the evening before.
